Manufacturing hub playing key role in Hastings economy
THE Business Services Manager at Ten Sixty Six Enterprise this week heralded the key role being played by the manufacturing sector in Hastings.
Sean Dennis recently took part in a BBC news feature
that looked at the support needed to help businesses maintain a course
out of recession.
Sean said: “We are working with an increasing number of manufacturing
companies in the area. Many of these are emerging from the recession with
a renewed sense of hope and optimism. For the sake of local employment
and the wider economy it is critical that this growth is supported and
continues in the longer term”.

Shop Watch hands initiative to retailers
WITH over 150 businesses now signed up to Shop Watch across the town, the time really is up for undesirables looking to cause trouble or walk off with unpaid goods and services.
Armed with walkie-talkies, ShopWatch members can quickly
alert other shops and businesses, the CCTV room and the police when known
petty criminals appear in the vicinity.
Each member of ShopWatch is provided with a rogues’ gallery of faces
to help them identify potential offenders, and each has the added protection
of exclusion orders on their premises.
