After a brief recap on the basics, we take a look at more advanced techniques such as bookkeeping structure, cash & day books, ledgers and so on. After understanding how they interlink you will move onto Sales & Purchases Ledgers, Nominal Ledgers & how VAT fits into ledger systems plus much more.

Whether you are running an electronic package such as QuickBooks, or just a manual system, this course will be relevant, helping you develop the more challenging world of ledgers & ultimately save you time & cost. We recommend you attend ‘first steps’ before attending this course.

Introduction to QuickBooks

This one day course introduces new users to the software and teaches them how to get the most out of QuickBooks powerful features. Users will learn how to track sales and purchases, produce invoices and customer statements, manage bank accounts, credit cards and bank reconciliations, keep accurate customer/suppler records, handle petty cash and create profit and loss account and balance sheet reports.

Who should attend
Participants should be proficient in basic PC skills - i.e. use of mouse, keyboard and the Windows operating system. Some previous experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel would be an advantage.
