Hastings and St Leonards town centres – are the heart of our wonderful town. These distinctive and well loved places, steeped in history, have seen impressive change in the last 20 years. The town centres now pleasantly surprise many who visit them for the first time. They are good places to do business. They are places that can build on the many successes of recent years. Above all they are places which should be for all Hastings’ and St Leonards’ people.

Town centres are not just about shops and offices. They are there for the community. Despite the strong sense of varied and distinctive communities across the town, the town centres are the only places that nearly all Hastings and St Leonards people use in some way, at some point in time - so they need to feel special and they need to be accessible.
